Local computing resources, facilities and information
This page is intended to provide general information and answers to commonly-asked questions. Other information can be obtained from the main CO website or by emailing them on support@ch.cam.ac.uk.
You are strongly encouraged to read the "Computer-related" section on the Departmental Safety website. In particular, you should be aware of the advice to DSE (display screen equipment) users (i.e. all of you!), and should know who to ask for further information. All DSE users are required to complete a DSE risk assessment form, which will be reviewed on a yearly basis. If you have any problems using your workstation, particularly issues related to your health, please seek advice at the earliest opportunity.
UCC IT Surgery
In addition to the normal processes for obtaining IT support, Adam will be available each Wednesday from 11-1 to discuss any IT issues that members of the UCC would like to discuss. You can book a slot (or multiple slots if you expect your question will be lengthy!) on the Doodle calender. Please note that the time-slots are approximate: questions will be dealt with on a first-come, first-served basis.
